Presbyopia Treatment in Cleburne

Are you over 40? Struggle to read fine print?

What is Presbyopia?

Presbyopia is an age-related vision condition that causes near objects to appear blurry. It typically starts in a person’s 40’s, when the lens of the eye begins to stiffen and lose flexibility. This makes it difficult to focus on nearby objects.

Presbyopia can significantly impact your quality of life. Regular daily activities like reading books, instruction manuals and food labels, scrolling through your phone, threading a needle and other close-up tasks can become daunting.

The good news is, with the help of AEG Vision, this common vision condition can be effectively managed, so you won’t have to compromise on your quality of life.

Presbyopia Treatment Options

  • Eyeglasses

    • Prescription reading glasses
    • Bifocals: for distance and near vision correction
    • Progressive multifocals: see objects at a near, intermediate or far distance
  • Contact lenses

    • Bifocal contact lenses: different sections for reading and distance prescriptions
    • Monovision contact lenses: distance prescription in one eye and reading prescription in the other eye
  • Laser surgery

Changes the shape of the cornea to correct vision. Some examples include:

    • LASIK
    • LASEK

It's been a while since I've been to a place that genuinely made me feel well taken care of. Today I... had an appointment with Dr. Patel, and she took her time to go over everything with me. She looked over all my tests, explained what they meant, answered my questions, and made sure I understood what was going on instead of just rushing through the visit. That really meant a lot . I also want to give a shout-out to Ally (hopefully I spelled your name right!). She did all my eye tests and was amazing. She was super friendly, professional, and had a great sense of humor. She has one of those personalities that just makes people feel comfortable, and it really made the whole visit even better. You can tell she enjoys what she does, and it really shows in the way she treats people. The front desk staff was also very welcoming from the moment I walked in. Everyone I interacted with was kind and professional, and you can tell they truly care about their patients. Overall, this was one of the best medical appointments I've had in a long time. Thank you all for making what could have been just another doctor's appointment such a great experience.
